Value Sets the Chrysler 300 Apart from the Chrysler 200
Chrysler's daring duo of sedans, the 2016 Chrysler 200 and the 2016 Chrysler 300, each fill a specific role. Deciding which car is right for you is a matter of learning how to differentiate the two and figure out which one meets your needs.
The smaller 200 is less expensive than its older brother. Designed with young professionals in mind, it has a chic interior with a surprising amount of space for a compact. The main draw is the 9-speed automatic transmission, which gives the 200 a solid edge in estimated fuel economy.
The 300 is more expensive but also much more powerful. Offered with a standard V6 engine and rear-wheel drive, this model starts with 300 horsepower in certain configurations. You can also opt for a V8 HEMI® if you want power bordering on excessive. Despite these larger engines, the 300 is also equipped with an 8-speed automatic engine that allows for only a moderate loss in fuel efficiency.
Both cars are available with Chrysler's All-Wheel Drive, an intelligent system that engages at any speed to improve performance in a variety of conditions.
An extra 3 inches of legroom in the rear gives backseat passengers much more room to spread out, though there is not much difference in trunk size when comparing these models.
Both Chrysler Sedans are a Safe Choice
Whichever model you choose, expect to be fully connected and secure while you're behind the wheel. Chrysler's Uconnect® system is available on both the 2016 Chrysler 200 and the 2016 Chrysler 300. Both models are also available with advanced safety systems, such as a forward collision warning feature with active braking. Each car also comes with its own new vehicle limited warranty.
